Small seeds, sown deliberately
NALVIDHAI was founded in 2012 with a simple belief: small, deliberate seeds of goodness — a toilet built, a classroom funded, a health camp held, a tree planted — grow into transformative change. The name carries the mission: in Tamil, "Nal" means goodness and "Vidhai" means seed.
The early years (2012 onward)
From its very first year, Nalvidhai put that belief into action with broad, hands-on village-level work around Coimbatore:
- Toilets built in 14 villages
- Eye and health camps held in 8 villages
- Riverbank and pond clean-ups
- Self-help-group training for women
- Leadership training and sports for youth
- Tree plantations
- A fast, repeated willingness to respond when disaster struck — Uttarakhand's floods in 2013, Chennai's in 2015, Nepal's earthquake the same year, and food distribution through the depths of COVID-19
A sharper model (FY 2024-25 onward)
That groundwork has since translated into a sharper, partnership-led model: fewer, larger, more visible flagship projects — a new classroom block for a government girls' school in Karur, sustained support for two established educational trusts, disaster relief in Wayanad, and direct medical assistance for individuals in need — executed with named partners like the Rotary Club of Karur Young Gen and Chudar.
Employees who are already showing up
Nalvidhai operates as the CSR trust of Payoda Technologies, a Coimbatore-headquartered technology company. Rather than outsourcing "giving back" to a cheque once a year, Payoda built Nalvidhai as a channel for its own employees to give time, skills, and money directly to causes they care about — education, healthcare, rural development, and the environment. This shows up in how Nalvidhai actually works day to day:
- Employee-led drives — the 10,000 Meals Food Drive and the desktop computer donations to government schools were run directly by Payoda employees.
- Employee clubs — the Nalvidhai-Payoda Nature Club makes and distributes seed balls as a recurring, grassroots environmental activity, not a one-off PR event.
- Corporate-grade governance — the same operational discipline that runs Payoda (documented budgets, named partners, published expense reports) runs Nalvidhai.

Karunya Lakshmi Sampath

Holds a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from PSG College of Technology, with a career spanning Operations Management, Organizational Development, Sales, Product Strategy, and Business Growth.
Combines analytical rigor with a people-first approach, building transparent, outcome-driven programs in education, healthcare, and environmental stewardship — rooted in the Trust's founding ethos of sowing seeds of goodness with clarity, compassion, and measurable impact.
Vijayalakshmi
TrusteeEmbodies the spirit of quiet transformation, bringing a lifetime of wisdom, empathy, and lived experience to the Trust's mission. Though her journey began in the home, her vision now extends far beyond it — toward building a more compassionate and equitable world.
With a deep sense of purpose, she actively contributes to initiatives in education, healthcare, and community upliftment — a reminder that meaningful change often begins with a single, sincere intention.
